Tai Ho

FOUNDER / CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Media

A media veteran of 25 years, Woon Tai Ho founded The Green Orange in 2009.  Drawing from his extensive experience as a producer / director and later the person who launched Channel NewsAsia (and expanding the channel into the region); Tai Ho develops modules to coach executives at senior levels on how to engage the media.  With his unique experience in dealing with a whole range of governments in the region, his modules focus on being effective corporate ambassadors for a country or a company; why sophistication and intelligence are crucial in media appearances and creating strong partnership with media for the company’s credibility and P&L. Tai Ho is particularly valued for his insights in the psychology of interaction with the media.  His modules on how to use Social Media, dealing with hostile press and crisis management are popular with ministries like Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Singapore) and companies like Cycle & Carriage.

The Art of Writing

Studying the arts right up to his secondary school, Tai Ho started collecting art when he was in University.  His interest in the arts intensified when he started work in the media.  Even while he majored in Political Science and History, his passion for the arts led him to produce award-winning series and documentaries on the arts.  His first book is about artist Tan Swie Hian, “To Paint a Smile”.  His second book is a novel, now with his agent in India – Jacaranda. He has finished writing another book about the oldest surviving artist in Singapore and is now writing his second novel, “The Story of Ah Soh”.  Tai Ho is now a consultant to art galleries and on the development of the arts.  He is a steering committee member of the Singapore Arts Festival, the Singapore Biennale and a member of the National Arts Council.  He is a regular features contributor to The Business Times on the arts, an arts columnist for The Peak and Men’s Folio.  Tai Ho has curated either alone or collaborated with curators from Delhi to Shanghai and Indo-China to Indonesia.
